Shanghu Cloud Platform Version 3 Launch & 2025 Sustainable Life Experiment Competition Awards Ceremony: Promoting Sustainable Agriculture with Shuijing Community Development Association
Yunlin, September 25, 2025 — The launch event for the third version of the Shanghu Cloud production and marketing platform will be held on September 28, 2025, at the Yunlin Official Residence Children’s Center. The event will also celebrate the achievements of the Shanghu Cloud student team in the 2025 Sustainable Life Experiment Competition, where they won the "Merit Award" and "Most Popular Award." This event not only expresses gratitude to the guiding professors but also demonstrates how Shanghu Cloud applies AI and IoT technology to community industries through a “big hand holding small hand” approach. The launch will include a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between Dean Hsu Yong-He of the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering at National Formosa University, Lin Wen-Chin, Secretary-General of the Shuijing Community Development Association, Shanghu Cloud Team Leader Yu Jia-Hao, CTO Wen Bo-Jun, and Professor Lin Zheng-Min, officially initiating a deep collaboration with the Shuijing Community Development Association to promote digital sales of local agricultural products and fulfill University Social Responsibility (USR).
Background and Significance
The third version of the Shanghu Cloud production and marketing platform (https://shanghuyun-django-app.onrender.com/) features the Shuige Rose Tomato (with sweetness reaching 13°Brix, awarded one silver and one bronze in the 2025 UK Jam Competition) as its star product. By integrating resources from the Shuijing Community Development Association, it establishes a digital production and marketing ecosystem. The platform is managed by the Shanghu Cloud student team, responsible for product listing, backend management, and technical maintenance, while the association provides product supply, logistics, and payment support. This collaboration enhances the market competitiveness of Yunlin agricultural products and allows students to combine technical practice with social impact through the USR program.
The Yunlin Official Residence Children’s Center, as the event venue, symbolizes the integration of technological education and community engagement. This center serves as a practical field where the Shanghu Cloud team guides children in learning AI and IoT, reflecting the spirit of “big hand holding small hand.” The launch event continues this concept, showcasing how universities can support local economies through technological innovation.
